The Challenge

Design a set for a morning talk show that feels cozy, warm, and casual. The set must install and strike daily in an existing network news studio. Must be able to alternate quickly between segments of anchor chit chat and guest interviews. An extremely tight budget focused the team on creatively repurposing.

The Solution

Inspired by Central Perk coffee shop from the hit TV show Friends, we sourced furniture and props from vintage shops. The flats roll tightly in front of the news set, utilizing available monitors to showcase the city skyline. Two distinct sides of the set are positioned so cameras quickly pivot from set to set making for seamless continuity.
